The acting bug bit Terri at the age of two, sitting on Jesus' lap–or, rather, the actor portraying him in a national touring play!  From there followed a childhood and teen years of performing in many places, including the Seattle Repertory Theater.  She studied acting and foreign languages in college (graduating with honors and a BA degree from Wesleyan), also attended broadcasting school five nights a week while holding down a full-time job, and obtained her first class FCC License, one of five women in the world at that time holding one. 

 

Living in 7 states and 4 foreign countries (Germany, England, Turkey and Mexico) allowed her to  work at a variety of jobs, including as one of the very first women rock dj’s; radio engineer; model; writer and advertising manager for a national magazine; actor in tv commercials in the US and Mexico; wine ambassador for two Washington wineries; for many years, the teacher of students learning English or foreign languages, as well as serving as  a teacher trainer, and the best job of all, mom. Living in so many places really did broaden Terri’s education, cultural experiences, world view, empathy and sense of humor! Along the way she also earned an MA degree (again with honors) from Cal State; has continued to take voice-over classes, especially through Such A Voice; and truly enjoys being a lifelong learner.  Now, Terri has returned to her first love of acting--albeit usually sitting in her closet/professional home studio!
